“The Gift of Faith”
by Tracey Armstrong

1 Cor 12:9

‘…to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,…’ (NKJV)

Faith is not only given to us in a measure, sometimes as small as a mustard seed, it is also a gift that the Holy Spirit delivers to us. The gift of faith can bring breakthrough, the gift of faith moves God to make a way where there is no way. The gift of faith causes you to see something that no one else can see. The gift of faith is power; it’s creative and insightful.

In the Bible there is a story of a woman with the issue of blood who crawled through a crowd of desperate people; she endured being stepped on, pulled on, and intimidated in order to meet Jesus of Nazareth. She had heard that Jesus of Nazareth was a miracle worker. I believe that the faith that moved this woman beyond all the odds was given to her from the Holy Spirit. The gift of faith is often activated during desperate times. You may be totally unaware of all the times that the gift of faith was delivered to you.

The gift of faith can also be translated as the gift of persuasion. The gift of faith makes you fully persuaded, totally confident, and extremely persuasive. Through the gift of faith Peter was persuaded that He could walk on water. Through the gift of faith the friends of the man with palsy broke through a roof so that Jesus could heal him. What a wonderful God! He not only gives you faith to believe for your breakthrough, but He also gives you the breakthrough.

Father, I understand that you want to bless me with a breakthrough. Please help my unbelief by giving me the gift of faith.

Pray for God to give you the gift of faith for the unsaved friend you have been praying for. God will give you the power of persuasion. Pray that God will give you the words to say exactly what your friend needs to hear.
