One to One: Day 32
By Tracey Armstrong

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. (NKJV)

Growing up, I didn’t understand what God wanted from me. I heard so many things. I heard that God wanted us to be good and that was the way to get into heaven. Another thing that I heard was that we needed to keep the laws of God and the Sabbath. I was so confused about how to go to heaven. So much so that I got frustrated and walked away from God completely. A few years later I got saved and went to a church where I saw a friend that I went to high school with, I walked up to him and asked him how long he had known about salvation. He told me he had known all throughout high school. I got angry and asked him why he never told me, and he had nothing to say. I was so angry because I had been looking for the truth all my life. Once I found out that all I had to do was believe, it became something that I could do.

If salvation was based on good works or keeping the laws of God, there was no way that I would have been saved; but to hear that it was free for everyone, black, yellow, red, and white, as long as we believe, that was something that made it applicable to me.

The same way that you receive salvation is the same way that you stay saved from sickness, emotional sins, poverty, and emotional wounds. Health comes from believing, prosperity comes from believing, and joy comes from believing.

Can you believe that Jesus has paid the price for you to be healthy, not just healed, but healthy? We don’t have to get sick, Jesus didn’t die just for us to get healed, but He died for us to stay healthy. Healing is needed when you and I don’t have the faith to stay healthy.

Can you believe that Jesus has paid the price for you to be prosperous? If you live in prosperity, then everything that you do will advance. Prosperity means to advance, to move forward at all times. We can live without decrease and decay. That is what Jesus paid the price for, for you and me to live in prosperity, not only provision. We read the scripture that says that it is better to give than to receive, but how can you give if you never receive? We must start believing that we will receive more than we need so that we can give the rest away.

Can you believe to be full of joy at all times of your life? Who says that we can’t be happy all of the time? Even though we may experience a season of testing before promotion, we can still be joyful through those times. Joy is a part of your salvation, if you believe that it belongs to you. Only believe and God will gladly add safety and security to you.

Father, I don’t have to accept everything that everyone else is experiencing. I believe that You have the best for my family and me. Help my unbelief in any area of my life. I don’t have to be sick, I don’t have to be broke, and I don’t have to be depressed. I can believe for better.

Find a quiet place, close your eyes, and picture yourself completely healthy. Stay there until you see yourself healthy and active. Once you see yourself healthy, then see yourself prosperous, and then go on to seeing yourself joyful at all times. Without first meditating on and seeing what is available, you will never reach for it with your arms of faith.
